How do I access the control panel so I can replace the fuse?

It depends on the type of oven. On countertop models, remove the outside cover. On over the range units, remove the control panel. You may have to remove the air deflector on the top first in order to gain access to the control panel screws.

How do you replace microwave bulb in GE combo microwave and oven wall unit model # JKP86B0F7BB. I also need to know the type of bulb needed.

Hi,

To replace the bulb part number WB08X10012 you will have to either access control panel to microwave (its behind it) or pull the entire unit out of the wall enough to remove the side panel just behind the control panel. Either way you elect to enter unit please turn off power first for safety. Not an easy task to do, but possible if you able to change this yourself. Cost is high to have a service person do this due to liability issues.

Good Luck

Microwave and display panel are not working. There is power to the electrical ground fault interruptor box and it is not tripped. Could it be the fuse inside the unit itself? I can see a fuse behind the...

Since you posted this under model KHMS105EBL, I'll assume that's your model number.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

If you don't find your mini-manual, or if you want to look at it before removing the controller, you can download it here (just enter your full model number with no dashes).

You can also find helpful exploded views and order parts here.

This model has a line fuse, an oven cavity thermostat, and a magnetron thermostat, any of which can render the oven "dead".

If those components are good, then you may a problem with the control circuit board. More info here.

Accessing some components (like the oven cavity thermostat) for testing and possible replacement will require you to remove the oven from the wall.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

You can download Whirlpool / Kitchenaid owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

Turntable is not spinning

Did you check the coupler? Take plate out and where the plate sits grab it and see if it just spins freely if so it's the coupler. If not it probably is in the wiring.

I have a Sharp Carousel II microwave oven mounted above the range. It went dead when I pushed the start switch. The circuit breaker to the unit was not tripped. I don't know where to find the model number...

Model number is on the side of the control or along he bottom of the frame. The control panel should be removable with a screw or 2 and sliding up to unlatch. the fuse is behind there. To remove it off the wall there is 2 screws coming down from the cabinet above and the unit tips towards you and lifts up off a lip on the back plate. Eric

No display on microwave touchpad for ge Model JKP62G

The GE JKP62G Microwave / Oven combination has an internal fuse behind the control panel for the microwave. The oven will operate but the microwave will be totally dead (no light, no clock). Turn off the breaker for the oven at the fuse box (30 Amp double breaker). In order to replace the fuse you will have to open the door to the microwave, remove the two screws (Torx) from the front control panel (located on the left edge of the control panel), wiggle the panel to the left (there are two metal tabs that stick into the metal frame of the microwave on the right of the panel) and then tilt the panel down from the top. There is a metal bracket that holds the control panel to the microwave at the bottom (don't remove it). Look towards the top of the microwave inside the area behind the control panel and you will see a 15 Amp screw in fuse. Replace the fuse and that should fix your problem.

Advantium oven # SCB2000/2001 F3 beeping (replace touch pad) - How?

F3 on a GE / Hotpoint microwave means you have a shorted keypad.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved in standard models.

Here are specific details on your model:

To replace the control panel, you will need to remove the microwave from the installation. You will also have to remove the top access panel.

Before removing the microwave from installation, disconnect all electrical power to the oven by turning off the appropriate electrical breaker.

Here are the steps for removing the control panel:

1. Remove the oven from the cabinet or wall opening.

* CAUTION: Do not use the oven handle to lift or lower the oven. Damage will occur.

* Be careful that electrical conduit is not caught or stressed during removal.

* This step requires 2 people for removal. The microwave should be grasped from the bottom and the front and rear of each side during removal.

* Remove the 4 mounting screws located in the front oven frame.

* Carefully slide the oven forward and out.

* Lower the oven onto a protective surface for servicing.

2. Remove the top access panel. There should be 9 screw attaching the top panel.

3. Disconnect all connector plugs on the control panel. CAUTION: Be sure to note the location and routing of wires for proper reinstallation purposes.

4. Lift the control panel to disengage the lower hinge tabs from the chassis.

5. Remove the control panel.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

If you would like to have us do this for you, we do that for $39.95 plus part costs.

We're happy to help you and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Model 721.63652300

hi

You can remove the grill on top; there should be screws on the top of the microwave and/or within the grill itself. Then remove the control panel, should be one screw on the top of the panel, then lift up on the panel and tilt it out. The fuses should be visible from there. If the fuse is the problem it's easy to change, just remember to unplug the unit first before working on it. And I would suggest getting a single outlet surge protector for the unit; microwaves are very sensitive to power spikes. Please contact me if you need any more help.
