Hi,
To manually remove you programs
Click the Start button or the Windows marble icon > click on the Control Panel > open the Programs and Feature icon
This will show the list of programs and applications installed on your laptop > select or highlight the program you want to remove > click Uninstall
You may do this for all the programs and application that you want to remove
Note: After removing a program you will be ask to restart the laptop
You can discard it and continue removing the programs that you want to delete
Not unless it is really needed to restart to complete the deletion

You might want to install a program called CCleaner. Very good with removing programs. If that doesn't appear, there might be a way of removing it from the registry. Use this microsoft article How to manually remove programs from the Add or Remove Programs tool

How to remove an installed program in Win XP

How to remove Yahoo Messenger in window XP: To remove a program that is installed on your computer, follow these steps: Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs. ActiveSync’s Tools >Add/Remove Programs screen lists all the programs that have been installed on your device. To uninstall a program, uncheck the box next to it and click on OK. To reinstall a program, click on the empty box next to it and click on OK. Do not click on the Remove button. Here's how to do it: If you used ActiveSync to install a third-party program to your Windows Mobile device, you can uninstall the program quickly from your PC.

Reinstalling programs you’ve uninstalled Once you’ve installed a program using ActiveSync, the necessary installation files are saved on your PC. Uninstalled programs appear in the Add/Remove Programs list as items with unchecked boxes. To reinstall it, click on the check box next to it and hit OK. ActiveSync will reinstall the program automatically. Note that files in CAB format can be downloaded directly to a device and installed, so they will not appear in the Add/Remove Programs list. follow these easy steps:
1)open my computer
2)click on Add and Remove Programs ,wait till is loaded then select your program that you want to uninstal and click Remove.

3. Select the program you wish to remove and click Remove.

Windows XP in Classic View and 2000

1. From the Start menu, select Settings, and then Control Panel.
   
   
2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
   
   
3. Select the program you wish to remove and click Add/Remove.

Using the Uninstall program from the Start menu If the program you wish to uninstall is not listed among the installed programs, an uninstall program for that item might be available on the Start menu. To look for such an option:

1. From the Start menu, select Programs or All Programs.
   
   
2. Find the folder for the program you wish to uninstall and highlight it.
   
   
3. In many cases, on the menu that appears, you will see an uninstall option.

hi jay, so the program still in your add/remove program ?. or the program still in your harddisk ?. if the program has been removed from add/remove program but the program still in your dekstop or your program files, just delete it.
