Hello everybody,
I have a Canon EOS 350D with which nothing happens ( no display, no power) at all, even the battery has been well charged and brand new !
I took the risk to open it and found (not sure ) 2 fuses (marked K and P ) (but I'm not sure ??). One of those is measured open ,so I replaced it by a 0Ohm resistor (I know it's a risk ..), now, I have some voltage 7,92V on some points on the MB and some 4.62V also but still nothing happens . If ever somebody has an idea (is there some other protection fuses somewhere else ??) , or any schematic or just a block diagram ??.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Leon

It sounds like you have some bent pins in the card slot. Take it to a reputable camera repair and they can look and tell you for sure.
SOURCE: Canon EOS 350D Driver Windows 7
You need to change the camera's USB connection mode from "PC" to "Print/PTP" in camera setting menu. After that it should be recognized by Windows 7 without drivers.
