Problem with E-Machines PC Desktops

emachine w3619 bootmanager missing

when I turn on it will not boot up, says boot manager missing also cd tray will not open

    • thank you for your help, but i think i might have figured out the problem. not knowing much about computers, i used a recovery disc that was for a emachine w2888 with xp and this w3619 had vista. so when i tried to load windows xp, it says the stack settings are wrong in configuration. i can not use the w2888 hard drive because the wiring plug ins wont fit

    • it i snothingf wrong with the hard drib\ve ..but the xp configuration is missing the driver for ahci and youhave to go to bios and under teh hard disk (or sata depending on disk ) you have to disable the ahci function and let it install on ide compatible or sata as ide ..and will load .....this ..in case you want xp ..so to run faster ..

the tray can be damaged or if it is not lit at all it has no power or is corrupted..if it is just jammed ..you can try to insert a sharp object into the hole on the tray and push to manually open it and see whats the problem ..
About the boot manager ..it either has a unplugged cable in the hard disk area..and it sees no boot support ..or the operation system is corrupted and you have to reinstall it from the disk or use the recovery partition if it has one ..
