Go to another computer with interneyt access and do a Google search on "forgot administrator password". There are several tools out there that you can download that will allow you to reset the password so you can get in.

Can;t remember administrator password now locked out of computer can't change it or anything how do I get in there to get rid of old passwords and change it? Help !

Hello Angel,

seems you are locked out of Windows, the best resolution at the moment is to download Hirens disc 15.2 . burn it to a cd/copy to flash. insert it to the pc and restart, hit the F12 key to bring up the boot menu, (systems vary with this). then select the appropriate device, in this case the USB pen drive if you chose to use that option, this will open up hirens selection window. choose Darik's con boot and follow the onscreen prompts to get back into windows. this program can change your password or let you gain access to windows and edit it from there as an administrator.

Big trouble. Try safe mode, if possible. Don\'t use recovery procedure, just manually remove unnecessary things. Finally backup your data, and reinstall whole system?

I have a equium m70-173 toshiba laptop and have lost the recovery discs and we cannot remember the administrator password what can i do to recover the administrator password ?

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password and privileges. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Click on one of these links to download HIREN'S BOOTCD :- http://www.hirensbootcd.net/ http://67.20.82.163/

Changing your administrator password

To change the administrator password, you must know the current administrator password. If you're logged in as the administrator, open Account preferences and click the Change Password button.

If you don't remember the password and automatic login is turned off, you can reset the administrator password using the Mac OS X User Install disc.

IMPORTANT: Because a user with the Mac OS X install disc can gain unrestricted access to your computer, you should keep the disc in a safe place.
To reset the administrator password using the Mac OS X disc:

  1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc and restart the computer.
  2. When you hear the startup tone, hold down the C key until you see the spinning gear.
  3. When the Installer appears, choose Utilities > Reset Password.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to change the password.
  5. Quit the Installer and restart your computer while holding down the mouse button to eject the disc.

Be sure to change your login password in Keychain Access to match your new password.

Forget my password on mac book air

I am assuming that you don't know the password for the administrator account on the laptop. Unfortunately the only way to change the admin password is to re-install the OS (operating system). Seeing that you don't have the disc you will have to purchase one or dig up the one that came with the computer. The Snow Leopard OS disc is available from Amazon.com for just $40 here. Once the disc arrives simply insert the disc and follow through the steps to re-install the OS. More detailed instructions on installing Snow Leopard here. Hope this helps! HOW TO UNLOCK MY MAC BOOK I FORGOT MY UNLOCK CODE

When working with Mac OS, you're required to use an administrator password to install just about anything. If you forget your password, or if you're using a hand-me-down computer and you don't know the previous owner's password, there is no workaround to bypass the admin password. Your only solution is to reset the password with the discs the computer came with. This project has two phases. Changing the admin password is the first step, but you must also follow through and change the keychain login as well.
Instructions
Things You'll NeedMac OS X install CDResetting the Administrator Password in OS X

1 Locate the Mac OS X install disc your computer came with. If you don't have it, you may be able to get another one from Apple by calling (800) SOS-APPL. (You will most likely have to buy another one.) Insert the disc into the optical drive.
2 Restart the computer while holding down the "C" key. A "Utilities" or "Installer" menu will appear, depending on which version of OS X you are running. Select "Reset Password."
3 Select "Macintosh HD" from the available volumes. On the drop-down menu, select the name of the original administrator account. Do not select "System Administrator."
4 Choose a new password and enter it in the two fields. Click "Save."

Resetting the Keychain Password in OS X

1 Go to the "Go" menu from the Finder. Select "Utilities" and scroll down to locate "Keychain Access." Double-click it.
2 Select "Keychain List" from the "Edit" menu.
3 Highlight the "login" keychain and delete it. The next time you log in to the account you can save your new password.
Don't forget to backup your files before you change anything. Your files shouldn't be affected, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Thank you and Goodluck

Take the start up disk for the computer and start from it, once the installer screen comes up hit continue and look in the menu items for a option to reset the password.  Select it and then you will be able to change the password on all the users on the computer.
