Question about HP 530 Notebook PC
While the batry is working my laptop works no sooner the battery is consumed it does not switch over to direct power,kindly give solution.

MY LAPTOP GETS VERY HOT, NOW IT SHUTS DOWN. SHOULD I PURCHASE A NEW BATTERY

If you cannot find the product key for your laptop (try looking underneath the laptop or on the User Guide or Install CD that came with your laptop), you will have to purchase a software license/product key from Microsoft. Usually Mfg's place a Microsoft sticker on the notebook. Try looking on the bottom side of the notebook. It will say product key & or Vista. Other companies place the product key on a CD sleve's. If the sticker is missing than write down the serial number & model number of the notebook & call HP. The number is on the main web site.
Don't take any **** from HP. (If your's is out of warranty). Ask them where the darn sticker was placed from factory.

If HP does not help than check friends or family. Any Vista key will work. Even if it means you have to call toll free to Microsoft.
Tell them you replaced the hard drive. They'll issue you a new key by phone free. You may need to re-install windows to get at the toll free number. (Sorry I do not have it listed).

Personnally if I had a key for Vista I'd ask for an email address but I do not. Vista is a bad thing.
