I replaced the blue cartridge, took it out and put it back in several times, but I still get a message that ink is low. Today it said the tank is empty, but it is not.

How do i empty waste ink tank on cnon i560 printer

You cannot do this yourself but you can google the problem and you should find a reset code that disables this warning, mine has been running for 12 months with this disabled

My canon i560 printer won't print. I get an error message. The error message says to cancel print and press the resume button. This doesn't work. The yellow light is blinking 5 times then the green...

I got the same problem. I researched and found out it's the print head, you know the thing that moves side to side that releases the ink onto the paper. You either have to replace the print head( which costs around $50.00) or buy a print head cleaning kit because it might have dried ink in it. Hope this works for you( the kit didn't work for me, had to get a new print head)

Will not print black although new black cartridge loaded. Cyan empty.

Canon printers tend to refuse to print if any of the tanks is empty. Replace the Cyan.

My error message says the used ink tank is full. How do I empty it?

You can't empty it, it's a set of pads covering the whole bottom of your printer. They only cost around $10.00 but you need a shop to replace and reset the waste ink counter.

4 blinks of the amber light says that the ink is empty, at least 1 cartridge is empty.

How do I empty the use ink tank?

You can still order the ink absorbers for this model, but only a shop can access the diagnostic mode to reset the counters and clear the error code.

When i turn my printer on the light flashes green once and then orange 5 times. cannot get past this stage - any ideas?

Here are all the flashing explanations:

Two flashes: Out of paper or paper feed error

Reload the paper correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.

Three flashes: Paper jam

If paper has jammed in the printer, clear the jam, reload the paper in the printer correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.

See Paper Jams

Four flashes: Empty ink tank

If you press the RESUME/CANCEL button, it will continue printing with an empty ink tank. After printing is finished, replace the ink tank immediately. If you continue printing with an empty ink tank, it may cause damage to your printer.

Refer to your Quick Start Guide for instructions on how to replace an ink tank.

Five flashes: No print head installed/Defective print head

Install the print head. Also, ensure that the protective tape has been removed.

If reinstalling the print head does not solve the problem, replace it with a new one. Contact the Customer Care Center.

Eight flashes: Waste ink tank almost full

The printer has a built-in waste ink tank for the ink used during print head cleaning. Eight flashes indicates that the waste ink tank is nearly full. Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to cancel the error so you can continue printing. Before the waste ink tank becomes completely full, contact the Customer Care Center.

I have a canon i560 ink jet printer. the yellow light flashes and the message reads The used ink tank is full. it won't print anything

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
