What caused you to require a restart of the computer? Some programs, virus', use AIM and MSN ss their transport for accessing your personal information and getting your cc info. Check the machine for any changes to the startup files. Run System Restore and choose a restore point that is before this problem occurred. It will not delete your data, but take your programs back to where they were before this problem began.

Start, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore, Restore to an earlier restore point.

Trying to login into my email account. gmail.com I can't get there no matter what I try. How do I get to my email account.

Point your web browser at http://www.gmail.com

If another account comes up, sign out of it by clicking the avatar in the upper-right then clicking "Sign out."

If you then still can't sign in to your account, click the "Need help?" link on the sign-in page.

If you're getting an error message, what does it say?

Signing in once on the first load-in screen when opening Chrome and checking "remember me" should resolve this.

Hi there.
The server is probably getting too many hits for it to sign you in at the moment, try waiting a while before you try again but keep on trying as you will eventually get in.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

Unable to update my protection after uploading new 2009 Micro Trend Internet Security package using a 64-bit operating system. Error message advises to check my proxy settings. I've done that. System is...

this is the resolution i got from trend micro regarding this error. it worked for me, so i thought i should share: I have reviewed your case and I understand that you are getting an error message that says “Unable To Update Your Protection” when updating the Trend Micro Consumer Product. With regard to your concern, this problem happens if there’s a missing component in your computer’s Registry. Let us configure the registry of your computer using the Registry Editor of Windows. Refer to the following. 1. Click on the Start button or the Windows Orb Button. 2. Windows XP: Click on Run then type regedit on the text field then click on the OK button. Windows Vista: Type regedit on the Start Search above the Windows Orb button then press Enter key on your keyboard. And the Registry Editor window will appear. 3. Click on the plus sign (+) or the arrow sign (>) besides HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. 4. Click on the plus sign (+) or the arrow sign (>) besides SOFTWARE. 5. Click on the plus sign (+) or the arrow sign (>) besides Microsoft. 6. Click on the plus sign (+) or the arrow sign (>) besides Windows. 7. Click on the plus sign (+) or the arrow sign (>) besides CurrentVersion. 8. Click on the plus sign (+) or the arrow sign (>) besides Explorer. 9. Click on the Shell Folders. 10. Look for the Common Appdata entry on the right panel. If there’s a Common Appdata entry on the list: - Double click on the Common Appdata entry and the Edit String window will appear. - Windows XP: Type C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data on the text field under Value Data. Windows Vista: Type c:\ProgramData on the text field under Value Data. - Click on the OK button. If there’s no Common Appdata entry on the list: - Right click on an empty space and options will appear. - Click on New and options will appear. - Click on the String Value option. - Set the name to Common Appdata. - Double click on the Common Appdata entry and the Edit String window will appear. - Windows XP: Type C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data on the text field under Value Data. Windows Vista: Type c:\ProgramData on the text field under Value Data. - Click on the OK button. 11. Close the Registry Editor window. 12. Restart the computer for the changes to take effect. After doing the suggested solutions, you should now be able to update the program successfully.
