Question about Computers & Internet
I have an intuos3 (6x8) and I can't make it work on my windows xp... First it worked only with the oldest driver, but now I can't find it online to download... I really don't know what to do, I've called a computer expert and he didin't know why it doesn't work with the new drivers. When I install the driver with the cd that came with the tablet, the mouse and pen don't work and appear on the "Wacom Tablet Properties".
You can see a screenshoot here: http://www.putimg.net/uploads/1209138752screenshoot.jpg
I have the same problem with windows xp and an uc-logic graphics tablet but when I senyt it back to the supplier it worked on their xp system. Couls it be something to do with individual settings in xp? I am a non-computer literate person so am lost as what to do. I was going to go wacom as I really want ti get into graphics but looks like I might get the same problem!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I had the same problem with my Intuos3 on Vista. Tech support suggested the following.
Do this.....Go to Start--->control panel---->system(in classic view)---->device manager--->click on "human interface devices"--->then click on "Wacom virtual HID driver" and right click on that and disable it. Your computer will ask you to restart and you will want to do that.
Everything works fine now.

The winning answer came courtesy of Mr Benedikt Schmitt of Wacom Europe, who offered the following solution: from the Windows Device Manager, disable the “Wacom Virtual Hid Driver” device. (Go to Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Device Manager, find the driver, right-click it and choose “Disable”.) One reboot later (welcome to Windows-land, circa 2008?), everything works as desired. Pressure and tilt sensitivity inside Photoshop still work, and the pen functions just fine in the rest of the Windows desktop. The absolute mapping makes it an absolute pleasure to point quickly and precisely. It makes my laser mouse feel rather clumsy navigating a large 24′ screen!

SOURCE: wacom intuos3 pen is not working
A few hours ago Wacom released a new driver 6.1.2-5 for the Windows 7/Vista/XP operating systems. I was having the same problem. Hopefully this will be a permanent fix!
