Can I run two EVGA GeForce 260 GTS cards in crossfire on an ASUS Rampage MOBO?

ASUS Rampage Formula motherboard/Intel 775 socket/Intel Q9300 with one EVGA GeForce 260GTX graphics card installed. I would like to add a second 260GTX and run them in crossfire mode if possible. Can you help or must I install an SLI motherboard to run these two cards. Thank you

This is an excellent question, basically "Can you run two Nvidia cards on a cross fire motherboard in a SLI configuration". My first thought was "No" but you should be able to still run a single Nvidia card.

From everything that I have collected the above is correct. Here is a reputable site that you can trust which has a spill on whether you can do this: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/246903-33-nvidia-graphics-card-crossfire-motherboard

Asus P5N-E SLI Motherboard and Ethernet Controller Problem

Had a similar problem with P5ne-sli motherboard, Intel Q6600 cpu, Nvidia GTS 8800 video card. One day the ethernet just stopped working, but it was working... It would connect to my network but would see "limited or no connectivity" in the taskbar. Went into BIOS and looked at the signals and for some reason only 4 of the 8 signals were getting a reading. Figured a power spike had fried my onboasrd ethenet card. Switched to an old PCI ethernet card... after two years I was doing a fresh install, of XP and for shits and giggles I just plugged the ethernet cord into the onboard with the PCI ethernet card removed. When windows went to validate it detected and installed my onboard ethernet...validated then proceeded to update windows. Over a year later it still works.
Never bothered to update BIOS until last month and that was only to fix the long boot time with ATI 5770 video card.
Willing to bet that resetting your BIOS will fix the problem for you. Just unplug computer, remove battery, attempt power up to clear any juice still in the system. Replace battery and boot up computer...
Also removed a DIMM that went bad around the same time. May have been a factor so try testing your RAM.

Nvidia geforce 9500 gt gpu work on asus p5n73-am

Hi!

Nahh...you can use that gpu with that mobo, but i wouldent recomend it. The GPU - Requires NVIDIA HybridPower™- enabled motherboard, and that mobo dosent have that. It might work but you cant use the full power of that gpu on that mobo. And beside that, that gpu is bigger then the mobo itself
I sugest you to buy another mobo, the gpu you looking at is a good one but your mobo isent that good.

Here is the spec for the GPU:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_9500gt_us.html

And here are the spec for that mobo:
http://shopping.msn.com/specs/asus-p5n73-am-motherboard-micro-atx-geforce-7050/itemid1060345734/?itemtext=itemname:asus-p5n73-am-motherboard-micro-atx-geforce-7050&fulldesc=1

Good luck

in my opinion it's a hardware malfunction, try reinstall the graphic card and before that wipe the cards contacts with pure ethilic alcool (96% vol) then put it back in.
And by the way try using a set of diferent drivers both mobo and graphic
