Using screwdriver open up remote, tape battery securely, make sure remote works and put it back together. You can also buy a universal remote to control it.

Is there an external battery pack that would work with this?

You can batteries for the model which is sold separately to while traveling , if you have direct dc slot on the player you need to buy adapter pins which available on line and most of the planes laptop power ports which ca be used to power your player......

I went to buy a new battery for remote . Somehow I lost the little plastic piece that holds the battery . Can this piece be purchased or will I need to buy a whole new remote ?

It is diffficult to purrchase this piece but what can be done is to cut out a similar piece of plastic from worn out parts or sheets , shape it well and fix just on the top holding with one strip of good masking/insulation tape,
this will serve the purpose excpet you are lucky to get one from a damaged remote.

Durabrand DUR-10 , rechargeble battery 9V...1.5A

Hello,

We looked everywhere for this battery too. What we found to be a better replacement is available from Radio Shack, http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2919620
This is a universal rechargeable battery pack that sits under the dvd player, we went on vacation to Hawaii and brought 2 of these batteries with us for watching movies on the flight. They worked great, each battery lasted for over 8 hours. They battery kit comes with tips that fit other DVD players and other devices too so if you have other devices to power it may work for them too.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Need replacement battery

You can try googling the internet or contacting customer support to see if U can get a replacement battery. Is the battery taking some kind of a charge? If it is taking a charge that lasts a short time, U can get by by checking the players ac in voltage. Example: If it is 9 volts, U can get a 6 d cell battery holder from the internet, and go to batteryspace.com and go into wires and connectors. Get the two prong wire that has an two alligator leads on the other end. You can buy a universal 6V-12V battery pack charger from this site, and get the powerizer 10000 mah rechargeable d cells to boot. U might want to use the .9 Amp setting, or the 1.8 amp setting if yopu are feeling adventurous. The powerizer batteries have sometimes leaked, especially the smaller C size when using this setting(1.8 amp) The site also sells compatible tips that will fit that connector. If the battery cannot take ANY kind of a charge, what kind of battery is it? If it is built in, youre in luck. If it is a clip on detachable type, U have a problem as the cutoff voltage with those type of players is typically higher on the ac in jack since the player isnt recognizing that discharged battery pack is still connected. For that, you could try a 8 d cell battery holder and just use alkalines if you don't want to risk cell reversal with your rechargeables, or just get the 8.4 Volt battery pack that site sells. I also recommend accupower evolution low self discharge rechargeables, found at thomas distributing.com id U have the cash. Good luck, and let me know how it turns out. Hint: the voltage rating of the battery power supply listed on the player may be lower than the AC in jack. Consult your manual. Use the specifications used in the battery listed. A 7.4 lithium ion pack or a 7.2 nimh battery pack will work if it is basically a 9 volt circuit. A 7.4 litium ion battery included with the player would mean you would use 6 D cells inserted in a battery holder hooked to this unit.

Hi I have a panasonic portable dvd player. LV75. The mains charger has stopped working, however the car charger still works. I have just bought a new ac adapter with new jack plugs and it still wont...

Hello,
Have you tried getting a new battery as they often stop charging over a period of time? You also might want to clean the contacts of the battery and the contacts on the inside of dvd player with a pencil eraser because they build up a residue and prevent good contact. If replacing the battery and cleaning the contact do not work, it will be a problem with the small electrical components inside the dvd player, either the diodes (rectifier circuits), capacitor, or transistor which will require a qualified technician to fix. Hope this help and let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Audiovox battery charger Rbn-300

If you remove the 4 screws to the top of the RBN-300 battery holder, then separate the halves, you will see a small IC board charge controller in the top 1/2. Remove the 3 screws to it, gently remove the board & (with a magnifier) look at the contact to the side of the board from the power plug (close to the LED light.
If you wiggle the low volt power plug, I expect you will see that the solder joint has broken on the board edge. Resolder & reassemble -I use hot melt glue to help support the plug to avoid re-breakage between plug & board.
This may fix your problem unless the erratic circuit connection has killed either the control board or you battery.
