The only way to clear the recorder is to press stop and erase at the same time for a second or longer, then highlight yes... this will clear of everything and will need to set the date and time

I have lost my info manuel. How do I erase unwanted dialogue

There are two types: Cassette and Digital. Which one (Model #) do you have?

In the cassette model, press ERASE and Fast Forward.
Failing that, you may need to record over the whole tape.

The Digital modells will allow you to erase one file at a time.
You may have to press PLAY and then ERASE while the file is playing. If that does not work, press ERASE at the beginning of the file.
It will ask you if you are sure you want to erase it.
If YES, then press ERASE again.

In either case, the erased files are not recoverable.

I need to erase the files

Normally, hold down the erase button until the folder begins blinking, then release the button and press it again. You will have to do this for each file in the folder.
