Question about RCA F32650 32" TV

1 Answer

RCA F3250 TV has clouded up.

So my roommate and I were moving the TV when it was turned on when suddenly the picture on the screen became blurry with a greyish/white tinge and then just slowly faded out until you could no longer see any of the images. Any idea on what could be wrong?

If you are still getting sound but no picture then its a fair bet than when the tv was moved it was bumped about causing dry solder joints somewhere on the tv probably the line output stage. If you can re-solder the joints yourself try this first otherwise find a competant technician. Hope this helps.

I have owned an emerson tv for two years now. All of a sudden the picture has become very blurry and white. It is not the cable connection and a DVD is also white and blurry. Even the input channels are...

you must open the back cover of tv, and then things you should do is set "SCREEN" adjustment on the flyback transformer. you must turn it counterclockwise to reduce and decrease the level of screen brightness. turn screen adjustment gradually until the horizontal blanking lines disappear from the screen. and blurred images will be sharp again

I solved my problem. Apparently the RCA cables where missing with the image. So I bought some Component cables and that fixed my problem.

I got an RCA 27" TV from someone who had moved it to another room but found it was "blurry" after moving it. I brought it home and tried all the suggestions I had found online but it was still blurry. I looked at the back of the TV and found 2 tiny knobs on the right (from the back view) which I began to fiddle with while looking at the screen. It fixed the blurriness immediately! I now have a beautiful screen.

Picture blurry

What was replaced by the repair shop? The blurriness may be out of focus. If so, the focus is controled by the flyback transformer. That connects to the picture tube at the top (anode cap).

There is a good possibility your tv has a bad picture tube, the fact that is blurry and the age point to that conclusion, you should invest in a new television and prevent the waste of money on this one.

Sounds like theres a leaky capacitor in the screen drive circuit. I have seen this problem also be a gassy crt but was able to clean off the grids of the CRT with a crt/rejuvinator. It happens because of low emmissions in the tube and when white is on thats a mix of all the colors, so the tube works harder. I bet when you whatch a movie and the scene changes suddenly to a white or brite scene the pic looks a little washed out. If this is not the case then I aggree with the Pravin and try it on another TV just to be sure .. This is not a repair for a consumer to do, though however it is only a three year old set you stated, so there should be life left in the tube, so im kinda thinking a capacitor is bad. Seek out a yechnician to check this out for you as a TV is not a place to see it you can fix it or to exoeeriment with. Good Luck
