Water and cleaning solution will not dispense unless I hold it for a while
I've had my hoover spin scrub dual for about 3 years now and is giving me more trouble lately. Now it is not dispensing the water/cleaner unless I depress the trigger constantly. Is it's life over? What is the problem?

To connect the upholstery tool, first remove the clean water tank by pressing down on the handle and pulling the tank forward. Remove the hose from the storage rack. Press down on the handle release lever and lower the handle to the ground. Unlatch the back part of dirty water tank and remove the lid. Pull the dirty water tank's front panel up about an inch and rotate the panel to parallel with the floor. Replace the panel with the converter and slide it halfway down until it is firmly in place. Pull the collar on the connecting tube towards the tube so that the black tabs are fully extended. Open the door on the hood labeled Stair/Upholstery cleaning connection and press the round solution tube onto the round projection. Press the collar firmly to ensure that the tube is connected. Replace the tank in a hinge-like manner and place the lid under the tabs on the front of the tank. Rotate the lid down onto the tank.
Now slide the upholstery tool on the connector of the hose until the tab locks into place.
If the brushes will to spin when you try to turn them by hand remove them from the machine. If the brushes spin ok after removing them the the turbine assembly is seized up and will likely need replaced. If the brushes won't spin when they are removed from machine take the plastic cover off the brushes and clean out the gears.
how do i get a manual on how to operate my hoover steam vac dual v spin scrub heated cleaning machine. i bought it used at a flea market and they did not have the manual. can you help me.
Thank you nessa
All of the hoover cleaners use air to spin the brushes the air intake is probably clogged. There is a Little clear window on the top of the machine pull that off and underneath is a little screen clean that out and that should fix your problem. Posted by hoofbeats1 on Jul 01, 2008 My machine is a little more than a year old. I have used it about 5 times. It started leaking the third time I used it. The fourth time I took it out, the brushes would not spin (I did clean them and rinse them after use each time). Now the engine screams and won't **** anything up. Do you have any suggestions?
