Hi I am Dan. It sounds like you may have a virus or a spyware infection. You can download Spybot Search and Destroy and after running that and cleaning the spyware out that should resolve the problem

Thanks

Dan

From start screen,we want i/explorer,but it keeps going to 'yahoo'. We don't want yahoo! Where are we going wrong?

  1. You need to change your Home Page. Decide what you want for a home page, e.x. google.com, msn.com, bing.com, pcrepairshop.org, etc.
  2. Open up your Start Menu, followed by opening your Control Panel.
  3. Find the Internet Option Control Panel and open it.
  4. Type in your desired home page in the Home Page box of the Internet Properties window.
  5. Click Apply and OK. Open a new instance of Internet Explorer to see your Home Page.

What's wrong with my ez connect?

If you mean the connection manager application that came with the ezconnect adapter opens and then shuts down immediately, that's usually what happens when it doesn't see the adapter. Application says "no adapter present" and closes. You say you're trying to use the ezconnect software with a linksys card, so that's probably the cause. Try downloading the linksys driver software from their site

How to set dsl modem

You go to start menu and access the Control Panel. Open Network Connections and make sure the LAN connection is enabled. If not, right click and select Enable. After confirming LAN connection, then go back a page and click Internet Options. Then the page will automatically show you the General Tab. Type in (or verify) home page in the window. eg. www.aol.com . Then select Connections Tab. Remove any connections that appear in the window below. Below that on the same page, select LAN Settings. Check the Automatically Detect option. This will allow your PC to detect your modem and your internet service. Select OK at the bottom and the window will close. Click Start again and select the Internet Explore. If your internet service is active the window will open to your home page. Good Luck!
