Re: how do i make a playlist
That player is set up for playlist transfer through Windows Media Player 10 only - you can either: 1) rollback your Windows Media Player to ver. 10; 2) attempt the firmware upgrade by running the Update tab in Philips Device Manager (may not work); 3) reinstall the installation CD - select Repair as your choice - it will add a plug-in that it may have skipped during initial installation. Good luck! -Tha Mp3 Doctor

Open iTunes and plug in your iPod. On the left sidebar there should be your iPod name (If you can't find the sidebar, go to iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar), go to your iTunes playlist and drag the songs you want to your iPod. For all of the songs, go to your iPod music library, even if you don't have songs, and on the bottom there should be a blue-ish bar. There might be a box saying "Autofill from iTunes library" click that ONLY if you want ALL songs from your iTunes to your iPod.
If you want to know how to put video or DVD movie onto iPod, I think this step by step guide would help you. http://www.dvdintoipod.com/how-to-convert-dvd-video-to-ipod.html
Hope it helps. Feel free to email me if you need further help.
Go to the song on the player that you want to add to a playlist. Press the setting icon in the top right corner and click "Add to My Playlsit" click "My Music List 1" a red dot should show next it if the song was saved to the playlist. Repeat this to all the songs you want on that playlist. Then just play the playlist, hope this helped if not let me know :).
after you create your playlist and you select a song from inside that playlist when you hit shuffle it will shuffle that playlist only. some models have an option that may need to be set for shuffle playlist only as well. hope this helps! let me know

yea i know what ur talking about. unfortunately the iriver x20 can only read SOME types of playlists. for example the windows media playlist that some people use doesnt work but the .m3u files which u can convert on winamp does work. its a real pain i know but that's why i just add files while i listen to them on the music menu of the x20.
hope that helps!
You MUST use Windows Media Player 10 - Windows Media Player 9 or 11 will not transfer the playlist correctly. Once you have version 10 installed, then the instructions in the HDD6330 user manual will be accurate.
When your on iTunes and your iPod is connected create a playlist on your iPod. Once you've created the playlist it will come up with a playlist called "On-The-Go" place your mouse icon over it double click and it will allow you to rename it.
