Hahaha, I had the same problem, and I just found I was being blonde...
The sensor bar plug thing is very easy to slip out, and so you can start by pressing "A" but when you get to the picking a language it doesn't let you confirm...
Just stick the red sensor plug in properly and it should work no problems

I need a master key for my wii because i forgot my password

Go to http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp and enter your 8 digit confirmation number there. When you do so, make sure that whatever today's date is, your Wii is set to that date. (And select Today's date from one of the 3 possible choices.)

(To get the confirmation number, go into Parental control settings, click I forgot on enter pin screen, and Click I forgot on answer secret question screen. This is where you come to where you enter the master password, and the confirmation number you need, to get this master password.)

Hi, all you need to do is the following
1 type in the wrong code in the parental code option
2 then choose i dont remember for both options
3 it will then display a confirmation code, now with this code you are suppose to ring nintendo to get the over ride master code once you have this you can remove the parental lock,
their is a way round this option click on the link below and enter the code into the box that says confirmation number once you enter this and the current date in the other box then click on get code it will then give you the correct code for that confirmation number and once you enter this is your wii it will remove the lock for you.

the confirmation code will give you the exact code once entered into the link below ok so click on the link below when you get the confirmation code and that will then get you the master code, this code will only work with the wii thats giving you the confirmation number.

I need a parental control reset code

Hi there

Click the "Wii" button located on the bottom left corner of the screen on the Wii Main menu.

Click the "Wii Settings" button on the System Settings screen. Look for the button with the wrench icon.

Move to the second page of the Wii System Settings screen by clicking the blue arrow.

Click the "Parental Controls" button on the second System Settings screen.

Click "I Forgot" when asked asked to enter your four-digit PIN.

Answer the secret question displayed on the screen. You provided the question when you set up your Wii. Note that the answer to the question is case sensitive.

If you answer correctly, you'll have access to the Parental Control Settings. Reset your PIN on this screen by entering a new PIN number and a new answer to the secret question, then clicking OK.

Click "I Forget" if you can't remember the answer to the question. Nintendo displays a message screen with text telling you to contact Nintendo customer support. At the bottom of the screen is a confirmation number.

Write down the confirmation number so you don't forget it, and leave your Wii turned on with the confirmation number screen displayed.

Call Wii customer support at 800-255-3700. Tell Nintendo customer support your confirmation number. You'll receive a master key code to reset your parental control PIN. Write down the master key code.

Return to your Wii, and click the "Enter Master Key" button. On the Master Key screen, enter the five-digit master key you received from Nintendo customer support, then click "Confirm Master Key." The Wii displays a message stating that "Parental Controls are Now Disabled." Click "OK" for the Wii to return you to page two of the Wii Systems Setting screen.

Click the "Parental Controls" button on the Wii System Settings screen. The Parental Controls screen will now show that you have no parental control settings enabled. Enter a new four-digit PIN number and secret question to reset your PIN, then click "OK."

How do i know if i got everthing to hook up to the internet with my wii

here is a step by step guide if you have everything you need that the guide states you will have no problems. First you'll need a compatible wireless router that can be found by going to the following site:
http://www.nintendowifi.com/
From there, select your country, which will then take you to the WiFi index page. On this page,
mouse over TECH SUPPORT at the top and from the menu that drops down, click on ROUTER INFO. Near
the top of the following page, under the words "I don't own a wireless router, help me find one!"
there is a "click here" link, which will finally take you to Nintendo's wireless router rating
page, which you can look through to either see if your router will work or if you don't have a
router, which one to get. For reference, if you live in North America, here is the router rating
page.
The following are pics I took of my TV when first setting up my Wii's internet connection...
From the wii home menu...

Go to Wii Options in the lower left.

Click on Wii Settings to the right.

From this first list, click the right arrow.

Now on page 2, click on Internet.

Then click Connection Settings.

From this list, click Connection 1.

Then, click Wireless Connection...

and then click Search for an Access Point.

It will briefly search for any access points and when this screen comes up, click OK.

The following will be a list of nearby access points. If the one you are looking for doesn't show
up, click Try again. Then, click the one you have access to...

When the following screen appears, click OK...

and OK again.

It will test the connection...

And if successful, the following will drop down. Click Yes to update Wii.

Sometimes the above screen is false, saying there is an update when there isn't and the following
will appear...

Now, back in Wii System Settings, click on WiiConnect24.

From the following list click WiiConnect24.

Click On and then Confirm to save your settings. This feature allows for updates to be seemlessly
sent to your Wii so you don't have to do the final step every time.

Ok, the final step, just as a way to make sure your Wii is up to date. Click the right arrow from
the 2nd page of Wii System Settings.

Click Wii System Update...

click yes...

it will test your connection for a few seconds...

an update screen may quickly come up and tell you there is an update (whether or not your Wii
actually needs one)

and the following screen will appear. Click Wii Menu to finish.

1 Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives. 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive. 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'. 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place. 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now. if you require further assistance please let me know and i will be glad to assist you. -Midwest-tek

Master key for parental control in the nintendo wii this is my confirmation number 57495392

Go to http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp and enter your confirmation number there, and select the Date that your Wii is showing.

(Note, this 5 digit Master key changes every day, and is also tied to the specific console, but if you go to the site I mentioned above, you can get the correct Master Key for your console, for whatever Today's date is. (Make sure your Wii is set to Today's date.))
