Have a small GE AC/DC Remote TV/FM radio that I love -- The other day, it just stopped working -- Does this TV have a fuse that is replaceable???
This is an old (approximately 12 - 15 years old ) 9-10-inch TV that I use on my desk. Picture and everything were great and then while watching it, it just stopped working as if the electric cord was pulled. We did have a thunder storm earlier that day that shut down the electicity, but it was working after that. It seemed as if a fuse blew and I can't find any information on this TV to find out if it even has one or where it is. Please help. THANK YOU. E-mail at LinMur@opexonline.com

You can purchase a universal remote that works with all sets at any Walmart, Target, Sears, Best Buy, Big Lots, Radio Shak ect. They come with instructions on how to program the remote to work with your model television set. Universal remotes also control DVD players, VCR's, Cable TV ect.
Please dissasmbly the remote control, clean the rubber pad use the izopropilic alcool and verify the remote function near on radio aparat posted on FM 88-106 MHz press any button If you hear the remote emitent signal in the radio speakerphones is OK,the remote control is work.
Check power supply transisters possible shorted

Remote problem could arise from either tv or remote. First check your universal remote on some other tv and if it is okay your tv's infrared sensor has stopped working. You can get it from the local component shops, take the existing sensor with you. This problem could be from the micro processor in rare cases. Best of luck.
Possibly some of the dry wall dust could have gotten into the buttons on your remote.
You can check the remote by holding it close to an AM radio receiver and listening for popping sounds as each button on the remote is pushed. You may have to move the remote around to find a position where the radio will pick up the signals. (usually close to the antenna )
also you may have to tune you radio up and down the dial.
With this method you can test each button on your remote!
Hope this will help you!
