Question about Magellan Roadmate 760 GPS Receiver
Hello, I have just inherited a Magellan Roadmate 760 as it was in my friends garage and needed to be fixed. After repairing the power issues, the screen comes on and has three different users, all password locked. How can I reset the system to forget the passwords or get around the passwords?
Although it has been some time now since I've worked on these, I beLIEve if you plug the unit into your computer you can explore the files and there should be a file called password or pwd or.. something along those lines.. all you have to do is delete the file and it will work. It was surprisingly easy I remember that much. If this doesn't work, play/look around with the files in the unit, and as a precaution I would copy the file over to your computer prior to deleting just in case.
