Question about HP LaserJet 1020 Printer
It might not be smoke but rather steam. I found a help page at HP.com:
Moisture on Trailing Edge of Paper
Read that document and see if it fits the bill. If you suspect this is really smoke, it means your printer is having a serious issue and you should stop using it immediately. I hope it's just the "steaming" problem. If it's smoke, it's too dangerous to continue using.
