Im trying to install prisonTycoon3 but when its finished installing it says (This application has failed to start because d3dx9_25.dll was not found.Re-installing the application may fix this problem. (i allready tried re-installing it.

Go to the following page on Microsoft’s website and select Continue, then Download. When prompted to Save or Open, select the Open option and follow the directions.

If this does not work, try Option 2.


Option 2:

Go to the following page on Microsoft’s website and select Download. When prompted to Save or Open, select the Save option and save it to a location on your hard drive.

When the file finishes downloading, double click on the file to run it. You will be prompted for a location to unpack the files to. It is recommend that you use something easy to remember such as:

C:\DirectX

Once the files are done unpacking, open My Computer and go to the folder the files were unpacked to (from the previous step). There should be a file in this folder called DXsetup.exe (or DXsetup). Double click this file and follow the instructions.


Once DirectX 9 is installed, your computer will need to reboot. After it has rebooted, you should be able to run Prison Tycoon 3.
