Question about Dell Inspiron 1501 Notebook
Hi, just wondering if you can help, when i press the power button on my inspiron i can hear the fans but thats it, the power and battery lights come on but apart from these things there is no other life
Look for the numlock light and see if you can turn it off or on by pressing the numlock key. If it responds, you may have a video issue. try connecting a known good external monitor to the laptop. Hit Fn F8 once to thrice until you get video on the second monitor. If you get good video on the external monitor, you may need to reseat/reconnect the lcd cable.
If the numlock light doesnt respond, it may be a loose memory card. try reseating it. You can find it on the bottom of the laptop, right under the door labelled 'M'.
These are just common fixes. There are still some other reasons why it's not booting up.
Comment back if nogo.
If it got fixed. Kindly leave your rating. Thanks!
