USB device not recognised. One of the USB devices attached to tis computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it?

This printer has been installed for some time. If I press print button on printer it will copy the "configuration settings". However, I have not been able to print from my computer. Since yesterday the above message regarding "USB...." has appeared. I have it set as my default printer.

My Lexmark e332n shows error code 43 ,what does it mean?

G'Day Mate,
Are you running the Lexmark driver for Windows 7 64 bit.
Try down loading the driver and installing it on your p.c.
Suspect USB driver for printer is missing - Windows can't detect it as it doesn't recognise it. By installing the Lexmark driver it updates windows to recognise the lexmark printer usb interface.
you will find driver here
http://support.lexmark.com/index?locale=en&page=product&productCode=LEXMARK_E332N&segment=SUPPORT&userlocale=EN_US&frompage=null#1

Windows xp will not recognise the seagate freeagent desktop drive

Assuming you have tried other usb ports and had no change, remove the usb connection, then go back into device manager and select the usb controller, right click and select delete as this will erase any input driver the usb port recognises. Restart the pc and then the controller should be reinstalled automatically as it sounds as though the controller has become corrupt for some reason. Go back into device manager and check there are no exclamation marks, reconnect the drive and see if it's recognised.

Printer and computer not communicating

Reinstall the printer drivers again and see if the problem corrects itself or if you prefer roll the computer back to when the printer worked using System Restore. If this fails to correct the Issue time may have come for a printer upgrade unless this is a high end business printer, then have it repaired, home units are dirt cheap right now.

USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNISED: One of the USB device attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognised it.

The problem you have stated can be due to several causes. Please eject your USB drive from your computer and insert it again. If windows does not detect it, then restart your computer and try again. If the problem is still there, please check the Device Manager if the USB port is properly working and if it is possible to use the troubleshoot. The best way to check whether your USB device is properly working or not, insert it to another computer other than your's. If the problem persists, check your USB device's warranty period and simply go for the replacement and contact your retailer or service provider.

You can go to Device Manger by following the steps below:

My Computer Icon>Right Click on the Icon>Properties>Device Manager

Thanks for using FixYa.

Hope this helps,

Hi,
- Make sure you have been installed JVC driver on your PC - If your PC has multi ports USB, just try other ports to make connection - check your firewire, it may be malfunctioned . Try other USB cables
