Any generic adapter will work as long as is is the same voltage and rating on the wall adapter you have. It is a 6 volt 400MA adapter. Radio Shack has generic adapters. Also try your adapter in another wall socket and see if that works.

Hope this helps.

I need a power adapter for telephone base for model 30524

Not a problem. Take the base unit with you to Radio Shack and they will get you a proper replacement. (The numbers on the plug in to the unit will say how many volts Direct Current are required to operate is properly and the tag underneath will also state how many milliWatts of power are required at that voltage.) The key is buying the proper plug in end that fits the socket. Radio Shack has units with several socket tips so you may select the proper one. Make sure the polarity of the socket plug you use matches the wire polarity... the stripe on one side of the power cord is the + side on the socket tip.

Vtech phone anserwing machine light is blinking.

You apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Our hp printer j4680c took a lightning strike. We replaced the power adapter but when we plug it into the printer the light goes out on the adapter. Is there anything else we can try? The unit doesn't...

This sounds as if it has shorted out the main power board inside the printer. Some small TV Repair shops handle out of warranty printer repairs, but will charge considerably for this. Unless your willing to pull it apart it would be more economical to replace the printer. But ask around, someone may be willing to give you a quote, and this should be weighed against the cost of a replacement
Unfortunately with lightning strikes the amount of power surging up the line can destroy many components inside the printer, and not much can be done from the outside.
Sorry it was not the answer your looking for, but lightning is a electrical devices worst enemy!!

We took a lightning strike and my RCA 20f510td has no indication of power. Is there a fuse that needs to be replaced?

Hello
The faults occurs during lightning strike is not predictable. At present, the power supply inverter section of your RCA ahs damaged. A thorough chekup must be done to detect whether there is any other faults also occured or not during this time. OK.

One one ring tone with incoming call..........

Make sure the ringer is on .
• Make sure the telephone line cord and power adapter are plugged in properly .
• The cordless handset may be too far from the telephone base. Move it closer to the telephone
base.
• There may be too many extension telephones on the telephone line to allow all of them to ring
simultaneously. Try unplugging some of them.
• If the other telephones in your home are having the same problem, the problem is in the wiring
or local service. Contact the local telephone company (charges may apply).
• Other electronic products can cause interference to your cordless telephone. Try installing your
telephone as far away as possible from the following electronic devices: wireless routers, radios,
radio towers, pager towers, cellular telephones, digital telephones, intercoms, room monitors,
televisions, VCRs, personal computers, kitchen appliances, and other cordless telephones.
• Test a working telephone at the telephone jack. If another telephone has the same problem, the
problem is in the telephone jack. Contact your local telephone company (charges may apply).
• The telephone line cord might be malfunctioning. Try installing a new telephone line cord.
• Remove and re-insert the battery and place the cordless handset in the telephone base.
• Wait for the cordless handset to synchronize with the telephone base. Allow up to one minute
for this to take place.
