Question about GE Spacemaker JVM1640SJ Microwave Oven
MY MICROWAVE IS ONLY ABOUT 3 YEARS OLD AND LIKE A BIG DUMMY, I PEELED THE PLASTED OFF THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR (I THOUGHT IT WAS SUPPOSE TO COME OFF), NOW I CANNOT GET OR KEEP THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR CLEAN BECAUSE OF THE MESH. QUESTION IS: CAN I GET MORE PLASTIC TO PUT BACK ON OR CAN I TAKE THE MESH OFF
That mesh is there to protect the user and acts as a shield to contain microwave energy to the cooking compartment. Never compromise that material.. You can purchase replacment liners at this site http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5130353 If you prefer, you can get a thin piece or sheet plastic cut to fit at many local hardware stores or home centers..You may want to make a paper template or take accurate measurements with you for that method.. Hope this helps you..
