Sounds like you have a MAJOR spyware and or virus infestation. You can try using Spybot to clean the spyware, but usually when it's bad as you're explaining, your best bet is to backup your files to an external or flash drive and wipe the computer, reinstalling a clean copy of Windows (or system restore / system recovery, depending on what software came with the computer).

Remember, even if you get rid of all the spyware, which is doubtful at this point - you still don't undo the damage that the spyware has done, so you may not be any better off after cleaning.

Hope this helps - good luck and remember to rate!

Wat to do with my drive c......i already remove half of its space but my drive c is not freing up its space....& my system restor is off i cannot make it on........pls help

First thing you need to do is run disk clean up. I dont' know what operating system you are using to give you exact instructions on how to find it. if you are using win xp, you go to start and then slide up to programs, go to accessories and find system tools then click on Disk clean up. When it opens, click the box next to all of the files to clean. use the up and down arrows to make sure you check them all and then click on the "ok' button to start the cleaning.

When its finished, you need to run disk defrag. You can find it in the same located as noted above for disk clean up. When you open it, choose your "C" drive and and then press "ok" to begin.

Disk clean up cleans and removes unnecessary files and defrag rearranges files to but all of your useable space forward in your hard drive to make your pc run better and faster.

I need to restore my computer so I can get online to get antiviru

download AVG on someone elses computer, put it on a disk. uninstall your old antivirus and install AVG. AVG is free and very good. (google AVG).
If your computer is not online, you are not exposed to much malicious software. I certainly thing restoring your computer will do nothing to reactivate your old antivirus.

VERY SLOW

a generic fix-all for slow computers is:
add RAM, Defragment your Hard drive and make sure you are using a stable OS (i wouldn't recommend Vista).

Cannot download anything

XP

Use system restore to a restore point before your computer crashed. AVG is one of the best antivirus programs out there. I even recommend it.

If your are using Vista, insert the DVD and boot from the CD/DVD. When you get to the install page select the repair your computer option.
From the options select System Restore.

On a personal tip:

I am currently using BitDefender Tolal Security and I am recommending this one also.
If you have formatted your harddrive, then you are SOL!!!

Unable to defragment

If defrag won't run at all and says you don't have enough room on the drive, you may need to delete some unused files. Defrag needs some empty space while it's working.

Defragging the drive is best done in safe mode so that nothing else will be running to interfere with the process. Turn your computer on, then after the Compaq logo screen comes up, press the F8 a few times (you're only supposed to have to press it once, but sometimes it doesn't seem to work). You should then get a startup menu. Choose "safe mode." Once Windows is running (the screen may look funny because of color and resolution settings) you can start defragmenting. Start this before you go to bed and let it run overnight. When it's all done you can shutdown and then restart normally.

Hope this is helpful.

My computer was shut down by power surge, i had to restore system to get it running again , more than once maybe 6 times!!!!! after that i defrag.... and there are now more files then were there originally...

you must backup your file and burn it in dvd/cd, any time your hardrive will be busted, the defrag is not god to use, wen your pc is not proper shutdown they can damage the hardrive,

backup your files and reformat your hardrive and install new O.s
