Moto Brushes Problem... Who could help?

I have a problem with my Ridgit vac, it's a 9 Gallon wet/dry vac... I think it's a motor brushes for it... Where can i buy this peace? Thank you for your help

    I have a RIDGID 12 gal 4.25hp wet and dry vac. When I turn it on I can see it sparking from the motor, would this be bad brushes?

How do you change the ridgid 9 gallon wet/dry shop vac from a dry to wet vac? Is it simply changing the hose to the back fitting?


all you have to do is open it up and take the paper filter off and then it's a wet vac. If it has a foam over filter you leave that on

IT WILL NOT START - IT TRIES BUT DOES NOT TURN ON.


Unplug the vac and spin the acorn nut on the separator in the water reservoir. If it spins freely and this vac has run for a few years you may need a fresh set of motor brushes. Do not attempt to run the vac if the motor hums or makes a burning smell. Worn brushes are normal and can often be replaced in an older Rainbow/ Rexair

Brushes won't spin


The brushes are turned by belt and/or motor.

Check the motor brushes, either worn down or dust is keeping one of them from laying on the armature. The other would be a bad motor.
