Weird issue with Pioneer VSX-D510 and "tone"-setup

Hello.
I have come across a weird issue with my pioneer reciever. Just a few weeks ago it started to flicker bass and treble setups on screen all by itself. At first I tought that it was just tone-button stuck and i could repaitr it someday soon, but then it started to change from normal 2.0 mode to surround mode. It turned the prologic option on, by itself. Then it continued to show the bass/treble option (but because the tone settings are not allowed on the reciever, when surroungd is on it just flickered the prologic icon). Then it started to go to standby-mode, by itself. I opened the reciever and cleaned it while i was checking for hardware failures, nut i didn´t find anything weird. Please help.

Manuals help a lot.

Tell us about the speakers. Maybe they're not compatible.

As far as what to expect to hear from surrounds, that depends on the sound engineering.

Test tones for speaker setup will get it all dialed in. Page 17.

Pioneer vsx-d510 coaxial dvd connection problem

Hello,
I recommend you use an optical connection. Your VSX-D510 has only one optical input, but I believe it is assignable. Use a good optical cable and connect directly to your DVR. Follow the manual to assign the input and it should work.
Good luck
