Hi! Two suggestions (different ones). Try the first one and if it does not work , proceed to the second one please:
1. Supposing you have Internet Explorer (i.e. you use Windows) please try this in your internet explorer:
Go to Tools-->Internet Options-->Connections-->LAN Settings, uncheck
the Automatically Detect Settings,OK.
Advanced, Restore Advanced Settings, OK
2. (Hopefully this will bypass the error...)
a) Open Live Mail
b) delete your existing account
c) add a new account and check "manually configure"
d) set the connection settings like this:
Incoming server name: pop3.live.com
Incoming server port: 995
Outgoing server name: smtp.live.com
Outgoing server port: 25
Requires SSL Yes
Requires outgoing authentication Yes
