My pen drive's capacity is 32 is totally emptybut when i look in the properties it shows free space is only 6 gb and used space is 25 gb.

if you have downloaded any form of media (audio, video or photos) check your incomplete folder and delete..delete part (keep up to 2-3 months ago) of the cookies that a laptop/pc tend to just keep and it builds up...then search for hidden folders by going to my computer/tools/folder option/view/click on show hidden files and each hidden file and delete what you might have deleted already (be xtra xtra extra careful not to delete any microsoft windows needed files).when finished click back on the hidden button to hide folders again

I am getting the message to delete files in my D Rovery file,

The problem is that you can't because the D is usually use as "Recovery" and sometimes you cant even see the files. (you need to configure to see "hidden files and folders" and "system files") I would not recommend you do that.

What is desktop.ini is it a virus?

Since Desktop.ini is a Windows system file, you are probably seeing it because you have set Explorer to display hidden/system files. By reversing this setting, you can get rid of Desktop.ini.
  1. In any Windows Explorer window, click Tools → Folder Options…
  2. Click on the View tab.
  3. Check off the radio button next to “Do not show hidden files and folders”.
  4. Put a check in the box next to “Hide protected operating system files (recommended)”.
  5. Click OK.

Hard drive thinks its full but its not

Does your computer have a backup and recovery program? We've found with some of our notebooks that if you allow the notebook to make a backup but don't specify where to do it, your hard drive makes a backup of the hard drive on the hard drive.

Hidden folder are not visible

Process are not hidden files but a file that is being runned by windows. Antivirus can't delete a process because Windows is using the file. Did Avast detect the process as a danger? If not then don't worry about them.

If your sound icon isn't in the tasbar tray. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sound. Here should have check box for volume control icon. Check the box if its uncheck to get the volume icon.

Hope this helps.

Not enough disk space

It may have created a hidden system file.
Open explorer and then right click on each of the main folders on the left side. If you see a folder that is absolouty huge, then that would be a good place to start looking.

You will need to unhide hidden and system files as well.
This will depend on your OS so ..
For Vista:
  1. Open Explorer
  2. At the top of the page select Organise
  3. Select Folder & Search Options
  4. Select View
  5. In the Hidden & Search options, tick "Show hidden files and folders"
  6. Hit Apply, then up the top "Apply to all Folders"
For XP
  1. Open Explorer
  2. Select Tools /Folder Options/ View
  3. Then it's the same process as above.
Hope that helps.
