Same problem and I cant seem to find the system admin pages described byy another user

Even dialling internally to this phone does not make it ring!

I have looked at the system admin programming and cannot find anything in the menus to lead me to make changes onn the handset so that I can hear the phone ringing!

I have tried everything here and nothing works! If anyone has any "worked" solution, I would appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance

i have tried that but in the config menu I only have ring or no ring nothing about appear. i can only access this menu from the main phone, the other phones keep telling me that I am denied access.

Thanks Guest, but that doesn't work for me. I dial Feature 6 and nothing happens. If I then dial 1 after Feature 6 then I get something called Enter Zone: All. I dont know what that means. So my problem still isn't fixed.

If I dial Feature *6 then yes I can change my ringtone and the phone rings for me so I know it works, but when a call comes into the office it still does not ring.

All I want to do is have the phone ring at my desk. Its not on mute and/or on Do not Disturb.

This should work on M7310, M7324 & T7316

Feature ** 266344 - password 266344 - configuration - line data - line access - show ext (yours) - line assignment ( which lines you have, usually 1 & 2) - show line - appear only/ring/apprear and ring

Hope this helps

line assignment
Can set to ....appear&ring, appear only, or ring only

I just found out how to do it - it is pretty simple
dial "Feature * 6" from your phone
you can choose the ring type you want by pressing next or 1, 2, 3, 4
then press OK

to adjust the volume
dial "Feature * 80"
then press the volume up or down to the desired volume

Remove the ringing from incoming calls on a norstar. I have multiple extensions in the building but want the incoming calls only to ring to a few extensions

You need administrative rights to get into the PBX. Once in there, you can assign which phones receive incoming calls. It has been years since I worked on the meridian system, so I can't tell you the way to do it, but it is in the manual. It's not complicated. You can also set it up for DAY/NIGHT mode so that in the evening, if required, all phones could ring on incoming calls so that anyone in the building can answer them.

We have a meridian M7310 telephone system, and have just bought some headsets. Unfortunately we wish to use both headset, handset or speaker phone. Is this possible? Because at the moment we can only...

First of all, make sure you're plugged into the headset port of the telephone and not the handset port. Pressing the Handsfree button should change from handset to headset. You can't use the speaker phone with the headset plugged in.

Incoming calls only ring on one phone!

that's a setting within the PBX system. See if you can find your user manual, or contact a business telecom company to see if they can provide you a copy.

We have a Norstar - Meridian M7310 phone system. Today for some unknown reason when an incoming call comes in, the ring is two short rings rather that the "longer" ring that we normally have. I have...

The two short rings is telling you that the call is either a transfered call (answered by someone else and transfered) or answered by an auto attendant and transfered. Watch the ringing phone when the call comes in and see if the intercom LED blinks.

Turn ringer on T7316

T7316 Manual

The volume control adjusts the handset, hands free, headset, and ringer volume. Someone may have fiddled with the buttons and turned the ringer down enough that it doesn't sound when a call is incoming.

Our office has 13 phones all the same. Some of the phones do not ring. I would like to get one of the phones to ring. It is a Norstar Meridian M7310

You will have to go into system programming, under sets, line appearances. You will need to set the lines on the phones to appear and ring, not just appear.

M7310 phone not ringing audibally

If the internal calls dont ring, then there is something with the extension. When a call is ringing the phone, press the UP VOLUME. Chances are that someone accidentally turned the ringer all the way down.

Let me know if that doesnt work.
