Outlook not closing connection to pop3 mail account
Hi, I have a HTC S620 running Windows Mobile and MS Outlook.
When I try to connect to my pop3 email account it is not closing the connection. What happens is then when I try to connect using my PC it won't allow access as it assumes somebody is already connected.
Does anybody know of a setting that will force it to close the connection or is it a fault?

hi you can get the unlocking code from here mobile-unlocker here they ask the following details before rendering the codes they are mobile model country from where you brought the mobile provider to which the mobile is locked imei number of the mobile finally they will provide the unlock code .
To start off you must establish an internet connection. What I did was to open the START then on to control panel and clicked on OUTLOOK EXPRESS. In outlook I pushed the TOOLS button and down came ACCOUNTS pushed that and got internet accounts.
Clicked on MAIL up come three items -account-type-connect-and I put the same items in my phone. Try that it worked for my Nokia and me.
I had the same problem. It was caused by the phone waiting for the date to be entered (even though it was already done). To get over the problem click on the multitask icon on the phone (top right). If anything is running other than "Home Screen" and "Menu" click on the application and close it. PC synchronisation should strat to work now.
Obviously, make sure that you are inputting the correct settings for your Chosen Email address, make sure the email provider Allows the use of the POP3/IMAP Clients for their email services, and make sure that you have a good strong connection to the internet.
Remember, the POP3/IMAP Client on the G1 does not support PUSH Email at this time, Meaning the emails will not automatically appear in your Mail inbox (unlike the G1 Gmail Client, which Supports Push Email).
When you go through the connection wizard on the LG PC Suite take note of the port number that it is using.
Then go to device manager(for win xp go to start/control panel/system, click on the Hardware tab then device manger) on your pc. Expand Ports(COM & LPT) and right click on LGE Mobile USB Serial Port and select properties. Take note of what port is indicated in brackets. Go to the Port Settings tab and select advanced. Change the com port number to what LG PC suite was using. Select OK, OK and try connecting again with the Wizard and see if you can transfer data etc
Let me know if that helped.
The simple solution is set up a Gmail account... Bellsouth will not let you send email unless you are at home directly connected to their server... because of spam issues. Do like I had to and just receive your mail from bellsouth but send replies from your gmail account or just use gmail all together.
Make sure you have SSL for the account you want to use unchecked on the Dash. It is set on by default. Also make sure you set your username as the explicit "emailuser", not the fully distinguished name.
you can, if you have an internet connection to your phone and a pop3 and smtp account on your email.
On jam, go to messaging >Accounts>Outlook E-Mail>Account>New Account...>Enter your e-mail Address: >next>next>Your Name>Username (Put your email login username)> Password (Your E-mail Password)>Account Type (POP3 is OK)>incoming mail (pop3 address, for gmail ,its pop.gmail.com)>Outgoing Mail (smtp server, like smtp.gmail.com)>Domain (if any)>finish.
