The Motorola WR850G is a wireless router that attaches to a
cable or DSL modem. The WR850G has two reset options.
Users can reset the router and retain the settings or reset
it back to factory specifications to clear all settings.
Resetting the router can help with network issues such as
dropped connections.
It can also resolve situations where the user has made
changes to the router's settings and can no longer connect to the router.
Look at the back of the Motorola WR850G router and locate the reset button. It
is a red button located to the left of the Ethernet ports.
Press the reset button on the Motorola WR850G router, and
release it immediately to reset the router without changing the settings.
Press the button on the Motorola WR850G router and hold it
for longer than five seconds to reset the router to factory specifications.
This setting resets the router's IP address and subnet mask
along with the user ID and password you use to log in to the router.
