Front display says "SAFE" and now nothing works

Don't know what happened, but it reads "safe" on the front display screen and no buttons on either the remote or machine work, other than off/on.  I have a dvd stuck in there now as well as it will not eject.

My car radio needs to be reset. I have the code but don't know what I after I enter it.

The sequence of programming for 2001 VW Cabrio radio is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.

For example: we have the security code "5079". Then:
3. By the no.# 1 key you will set up the first safe code digit. Push 5 times on the no.# 1 button. The "5" number will be setted.
4. By the no.# 2 key you will set up the second safe code digit. Push 10 times on the no.# 2 button. The "0" number will be setted.
5. By the no.# 3 key you will set up the third safe code digit. Push 7 times on the no.# 3 button. The "7" number will be setted.
6. By the no.# 4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit. Push 9 times on the no.# 4 button. The "9" number will be setted.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed.
The radio is now ready for use!

Latop d620 worked ine but now screen is lack unless in safe mode

Now I don’t know how unplugging it or moving it would cause that problem but it does sound like you might have an issue with the refresh rate and or screen resolution at a setting that is to high for the screen to display (safe mode only loads windows core components and minimal set of drivers like basic vga driver for display which is why it probably works in safe mode)

If you are running windows XP then try the following:

Ok try hitting F8 key before XP logo appears for boot menu then select "enable vga mode" then after you get to a desktop go to display settings and lower the screen resolution and refresh rate setting
(refresh rate should be at 60hz) resolution could be different depending on which screen you have there... but try 1024x768 just to be safe then reboot into normal mode and see if it works and if it does then you can adjust the resolution to what it was before problem occurred

If you are running Windows Vista then boot from the Vista CD and select “repair my computer” and then “fix startup problems” and it should do it for you

Laptop won't boot (display problems)

If the diagnostics displays on the LCD screen but you get no display when Windows starts to load, it sounds like you have a video software driver problem. Try tapping the F8 key when you power on your laptop and boot in Safe mode. If it works in safe mode then you need to check you driver. You can also try connecting the laptop to an eternal monitor and see what happens.

SAFE

Pro-Tect Plus™ Locking Feature
To disable VCR usage or to protect set timer recordings, the unit can be locked so that the
buttons on the VCR or remote control don’t work.
• To Lock: Press and hold either the remote control’s ON•OFF or VCR button until SAFE
appears in the display to indicate Pro-Tect Plus is active. SAFE also appears if the VCR is
turned on while the feature is activated.
To Unlock: Press and hold either the remote control’s ON•OFF or VCR button until SAFE
disappears from the front panel display. Unlocking is the only way to use the VCR.
