Anyone ever figure out how to change the ink roller? I am not even sure I have the right one but this is what Staples suggested. If anyone knows the trick for putting the new roller in, or a item # for the roller, please let us know! Thanks...

Still can't get this darn thing to print. The roller fits but appears to not be touching the print wheel. I am gonna jam this thing in the river! Anyone have any success with this problem?

SOURCE: ribbon installation

I searched this online, and have found the following instructions:

1) Set the power switch to OFF
2) Remove the printer cover
3) Remove the ink roller by turning it counterclockwise and pulling it upward.
4) Install the correct color new ink roller and press it in the correct position. Make sure that the ink roller is securely in place.
5) Put back the printer cover.

SOURCE: Need to change tax function on Sharp EL-334A

I had the same problem and finally figured it out. Here's what you do:

Press C-CE twice
Press +TAX (Rate set)
Key in your new tax rate as an integer (e.g. 5)
Press +Tax (Rate set) again
Press C-CE

Then you're ready to calculate with the new rate!

Now what's the GT button for?

I still have to believe that your ribbon is not quite seated properly on this. I would check that again. If this is not a "cartridge" then Check to see if it is upside down.

I have replaced the ribbon twice now but the print still comes out very light

I'm having the same problem. This is my second Sharp EL-2630PIII calculator and the first one did not have this problem (prior job). I can change the ribbon and the print is still so light I cannot scan it as part of my work papers... which is a huge problem as an accountant.

The only thing I can think of is the ribbon is not threaded properly. (ex. in front of carrier instead of behind or vice versa)
