Question about HP LaserJet 3055 All-In-One Printer
I hope this is an easy fix and ive missed something silly.
When i scan a document to a local PC it scans very faintly, and then obviously prints out very faintly when i print it. I am trying to scan a letter which has a logo at the top and a signature in biro at the bottom. The thing is this worked fine before the PC was re-loaded.
After the PC was reloaded the drivers and the scanner software was installed the same as the first time round, when it did actually work. These have been installed from the original CD.
I have tried to adjust the brightness options to darker and the contrast but this doesnt make any difference, i have selected colour instead of black & White because of the colour logo on the letter but still doesnt change.
I have tried this using the HP provided scanning software changing the settings and also using Windows scanner and camera software but still same problem.
I tried changing the settings on the actually machine but it reverts back after i change them and doesnt save for me to try and scan again.
It is quite a big problem because letters need to be scanned into the PC after being signed and then they are emailed across the continent.
Any help will be appreciated.
Ok this sounds like a fun one to solve I like it. so we are gonna try a bunch of stuff here so we can get you going and working again in no time. I hope. haha
ok first off lets make sure that the scanner bed is completely clean of anything just nice clean glass. now if you check and see if the scanner bulb is doing ok how do we do this we are going to do a atest scan and make sure that the bulb is still really bright
by the sounds of it to me the bulb might be on its way out the door if it has had alot of use it can go in a short period of time.
next will be a test to see if the copy function will print the document as it is on the scanner bed, this will tell us if its the software or the hardware if you make a copy and it is still light in color then its hardware make sure your ink is ok as well cause that could pose a problem in the testing of this as well
I will tak a look over the manual and see what I can dig up but if you could try those things so that we can eliminate the following and figure out where to go next.
