The cyan toner low message has been showing for 5 months. I have the toner and need to replace the cartride, but the toner cylinder will not rotate to the front. Only the blue cartridge is in front, although it makes sounds like it is moving to the front.

The toner containers must be replaced when the printer displays the Low toner or Replace toner message which will be given depending on the color of toner. The Low toner message will be shown as a pre-warning that the toner is running out and the printer will soon stop, at that time showing Replace toner. If you replace the toner container before Replace toner is displayed, you must manually reset the toner counter as explained below. Note that if you reset the toner counter before the toner container is replaced, the subsequent toner warnings will not be indicated correctly.
1. Turn off the printer for 2 minutes. 2. Open the front door. 3. Remove the Imaging Unit. (Pull the green handle towards you) 4. Remove the Waste Toner Tank. (It is a L shaped thing with a handle) (It is near the cyan toner, on the left side) 5. Empty the tank carefully in a bag. If you want, clean it with water and you MUST put it out in the sun to dry. 6. After drying, put it back in and try again. If it doesn't work, then just remove the cyan toner and clean the place where it was.
You have replaced the toner cartridge but you still have to replace the imaging unit which is the drom that the toner cartridge attaches to.

Close the cover to the machine and make sure you aren't getting any other error messages other than the toner. When the printer is at the ready state press the rotate toner button. You should hear the printer rotate the toner and then the light over the cyan cartridge will come on. Keep pressing the rotate toner button until you get to the color you want to replace. Open the top cover and front door where the KM logo is. You should see the cyan cartridge in place. Pull the cyan tab back toward you. The front part of the toner should release. Now pull the tab and the toner straight up and out of the printer. If you are having problems getting the toner out it is probably not in the correct position. There is a slot on either side of the printer that he back end of the toner cartridge needs to be in before the toner will come out.
If you wait until the colour has completely run out, you will see a message to that effect, and the correct cartride will be presented. If you wish to change before this:
1. On the
printers' control panel, press the "right" button (labeled no. 3) once and then
the "down" button (labeled no. 4) until you see the RESET MENU.
2. Press the
"right" button (labeled no. 3) once.
3. Press the
"down" button (labeled no. 4) until you see "CHANGE TONER X" appear on the
screen (where X is either C, M, Y or K, Cyan. Magenta, Yellow or Black).
4. Press the
"right" button (labeled no. 3) once. The printer will rotate the toner carousel
to the correct position for you to change.
5. Open the
printer door and change the toner as normal.
I had the same problem and found that one of the toner cartridges must have not been seated properly. I removed the black toner cartridge and re-fitted it. The printer now works fine again with no errors. 17H is a code relating to a fault in the rotation ......... possibly one or more toner cartridges need checking. Use the menu on the printer to turn it to the appropriate position (i.e. engine menu then select replacement of whichever toner you are checking).
