Question about Toshiba Tecra A2 Notebook
My laptop is a tecra A2 which works fine with the wifi switch off (but no internet) but with the switch on I get a blue screen telling me to disable any new software or haerdware. The last time I used it last December it was working fine with the switch on.
At first guess, I'd say you have a driver problem. Reboot the machine in safe mode, leaving the switch in the "ON" position. (F8 at startup for safe mode).
Log into the machine, and go to Device Manager. Uninstall/remove the wifi adapter.
Upon reboot, the system will attempt to reinstall the adapter, but you should not have a blue screen. If you have the original drivers, point Windows to them. You don't want Windows to use the "existing" drivers, because that's where the problem occurred.
Once the good drivers are installed, you should be back in business :)
