Joystick fix in Battlefield Bad Company 2 for PC (and Vietnam)

In Bad Company 2 if you wish to use a joystick the yaw will be reversed. You want to yaw left and it goes right, go right it instead goes left. This will tell you how to fix that.<br /> <br /> Locate you settings in your My Documents\BFBC2\input folder<br /> <br /> There is a file called air.dbx. This is an XML file. Having trouble programing my extreme 3d pro joystick and FSX deluxe. I am using Vista. I can't get the elevator trim up/down to work. Doesn't even seam to work when i press 7 or 1 on the...

I would first of recommend doing a calibration of your joystick. To do that, make sure your joystick is connected to your computer and go to your start menu>>devices and printers. Once your window pops up, find your joystick and right click on the icon, and go to settings. You can find the calibration wizard there. Once that is done, open up your Flight Simulator X, and go to the settings tab. Along the right hand side, click on controls. From there you can configure your joystick buttons to whichever action you like. Please keep in mind as well when your are adjusting the elevator trim, rudder trim, that the adjustments made from one keystroke, or button push, are very very small adjustments. You can change that by moving the slider on the Repeat column, thereby making one keystroke or button push equal to multiple taps!

I have the heavy gear . i've changed my joystick, but the game doesn, recognize the new one

In Windows 7, Go to "Game Controllers" in your control panel, select your joystick from the list, click "Advanced," and under "Preferred Device" select your joystick from the dropdown menu.

It worked for me with my MS Sidewinder FF2 and Windows 7. BTW, SloMo is highly recommended to play Heavy Gear 1, as otherwise your gear will run in place in the game because it's running too fast.

I have Windows 7 and MS Flight Sim X - what is the best joystick for this combination?

Really, that is completely up to the user. I have the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS joystick, and I like that. There are many joysticks out there that offer many different features as well as coming with rudder pedals as well. Really, the biggest factor on deciding comes down to how light you would like your wallet to be after purchase! :)

I have Microsoft Flight Simulator X and a Satek X52 flight control, however I have problems with the throttle on all aircraft. I have to use the F-4 key - can you help?

You need to assign the throttle function correctly WITHIN FSX settings area itself. Also calibrate the joystick in windows first. If you are not familiar with assigning FSX functions to your joystick, check the Learning Center section within FSX for step-by-step details.

Keyboard don't work in my Fifa 09 game

You have to set the controls on the options or settings list within the game. Make sure keyboard is selected and not JoyPad or JoyStick or something. See if that works.
