I have a very similar Panasonic phone, but I don't use the remote feature. In the past I had a similiar phone where I just dialed the phone number and entered a three digit code that I assigned and was able to listen to the messages. Here is a link to the owner's manual. Look on page 29-30.

The answering system automatically announces the number of messages (new or old) if there are any. If there are new messages, the answering system automatically begins to play new messages only. -OR If there are no new messages, the answering system automatically begins to play all old messages. If there are no messages in the answering system, the system announces, "You have no message." Hello I was wondering how to use the VM acess with my phone. I want to be able to call from a different number and listen to my messages how do I go about doing so

I have a similar model. You need to configure a remote access code on the phone. Then, when you call your phone, you enter the pin after your message starts.

(From the manual)
Using a touch-tone phone, you can call your phone number from outside and access the unit to listen to messages or change answering system settings. The unit's voice guidance prompts you to press certain dial keys to perform different operations.

Remote access code:
A 3-digit remote access code must be entered when operating the answering system remotely. This code prevents unauthorized parties from listening to your messages remotely. The default
setting is "111".

Important:
To prevent unauthorized access to this product, we recommend that you regularly change the remote code.
1 {MENU} {#} {3} {0} {6}
2 Enter the desired 3-digit remote
access code.
3 {SAVE} {OFF}

Below is a link to the manual. The remote access instructions are on page 35.

I have a voice mail but i dont know how to check it

Hello,
Your telephone company should tell you how to retrieve messages. You may want to look in the introductory pages of the phone book.
If it is an aswering machine you have, the procedure is different: Every phone has a remote access code (on a sticker at the bottom for older models) or number set by default if phone has a digital screen. You find the default number when you configure the phone.
To hear messages when you are away, you dial your number and wait for the answering machine to activate. When you are instructed to leave a message, enter your remote access code and listen to the instructions. One option will enable you to hear your messages.
Hope it helps.
