Question about Garmin GPS
I contacted Garmin and they actually researched the problem and got back to me with a solution a few hours later. I have already instituted it and it works. Here's what they suggested:
Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I will be more than happy to help you with this. The situation you described appears to come from a change in the WAAS system by the government. To correct this issue you must turn the WAAS off. To do this turn the unit on and press the menu button twice. Next highlight setup and press enter. Under the system tab, WAAS is located in lower right hand corner. Scroll down and over to highlight enabled, press enter and change to disabled. Engineering has been informed however due to the discontinued status of this unit we are not sure when ( or if ) a new unit software will be issued to correct this problem. I appologize for any inconvienience.
