Screen position needs adjustment

I changed out the color wheel on my HLP4663W and the quality of the picture is great. The problem is that the entire picture is about 1" below the screen, and I need to adjust it up. Any ideas?

Turn the TV off.  Press "Mute" 1 - 8 - 2 "Power".  This will open the service menu.  You can adjust the vertical and horizontal position from the first or second menu item.  Just be careful not to change any other settings and to record original settings.  Turn the TV off to exit the service menu.

Try opening up the back and the chip with the thousands of mirrors can be adjusted and the should be 4 screws holding it in place but then you could also be pplaying with the focus as well i'd recommend it being a two person job

My Samsung HLP4663W 46 in was making a buzzing noise for several months. I know it could have been either the fan(s) or the color wheel, but I never opened it up to determine which it was. Now the TV quit...

Great reasoning work! In fact, the lamp will not light if the color wheel does not spin-up. Fans will not stop the process of lamp ignition. Instead, a fan will be detected and a message will appear on the screen telling which fan has stopped. You need to have the color wheel replaced.

if the picture is blue green there is a jumper to be removed on the dmd board on connector cn810--the index delay should be between 40 and 50 for optimum color --or adjusted for best flesh tone also in the options the cw setting should be set for cw2

Samsung HLP4663W Black Solarization

The speed of the color wheel needs to adjusted or the CCA values. Both are found in the service menu . If you paid a company to fix the TV, call them and tell them that they forgot to perform these alignments. If you did the repair yourself, you'll have to call around for a price to have a Samsung service center perform these adjustments. I don't recommend consumers access the service menus of modern TVs because one wrong button push and you may cause irrepairable changes to the TV's proper operation.

Replaced lamp & color wheel, no picture

Check your old lamp. Do you remember what its condition was like. If the tube inside the lamp was shattered into a thousand pieces that is a sign of ballast problems and that is where you should start to look. After all the ballast is what runs your lamp.
