I need to reformat or maybe just, turn usb port off. board will not recognize hard drive suddenely. The un set up USB is left plugged in with no computer? The computer froze cant recognize disk message c& heck H/D message appeared. I checked. all conections are tight. I might need to reformat. are there key board start up combinations that i can use to change boot order?

Hi I had exactly the same problem with my Macintosh, it worked fine until recently but suddenly stopped working. As a matter of fact it is probably due to a compatibility issue of the USB driver after a recent software update of MacOSX drivers. Fortunately I have an old Macbook pro with an old version of MacOSX and the Tascam showed up immediatly and USB worked fine. Therefore, if ou can downgrade your USB driver it might solve the problem.

Depending on which site you are uploading to you need to have a stored file of the song in the proper format. Most often used is MP3. Read your manual to see what formats you can save in. Even if you can only get as far as wave there are very good freeware utilities on the internet to convert to other formats.
