Nordic track a.c.t. classic elliptical belt tensioner

You have to loosen the underside bolt as well as the 10mm bolt on the side . The 10mm bolt locks the adjuster in place. The underside 16 mm bolt is the adjuster.

Just purchased the nordic track 2550 pro treadmill and was wondering if you had to lubricate the belt, i was told that it was self-lubricating and never needed oiled.

Hello,

You do not need to lubricate the belt, unless you speek with or read something from Nordic trac. Oiling wont hurt anything, but is not needed.

When I get on my treadmill it feels like Im sliding to the point where I cant walk on it. Also I have a lot of black dust under the track and the belt is cutting into the plastic on one side.

On the side of the treadmill where the tread is running into the foot rail (plastic). go to the rear of the machine and find the hole in the end of the plastic. There will be an allen wrench hole there. Use an allen wrench (should have come with the machine) and tighten this bolt (clockwise) 2 full revolutions. This should move the belt away from the plastic and possibly keep the belt from slipping. Good Luck, Tim

Tread is sliding and rubbing agianst right side of track.

Make sure treadmill is running when you adjust belt. The treadmill belt tracks as the belt goes around. I usually put machine on 2-2.5 if belt is not rubbing instantly. If belt is already against plastic, turn adj. counterclockwise on the opposite side about one full turn. You can usually move belt with your foot to see if it aligns any with turning on the treadmill. Once belt is not rubbing, turn treadmill on and continue alighing the belt.

Title: Treadmill Belt Problem

determine which side is off centered

If the tread is migrating from the left you need to adjust the tension adjustment on the right and side of the roller and make it tighter

Most adjustments are made by turning a set screw that moves the idler roller ( the roller that is at the end of the tread mill which is where you first get on)

TO ADJUST:

1 TURN THE POWER OFF AND UNPLUG AT WALL OUTLET

2 Locate the adjustment screw( remember you will adjust the side opposite the migration to tighten the roller)

3 manually force the treadmill belt over toward the proper path( I do this by taking my hand and sliding my fingers under the belt and lift the belt as I hand roll it

4 Turn the adjustment screw counter clockwise one revolution

5 plug in then turn on and see if it stays in place

6 Keep repeating the process ( steps 1,2,3,and 4 )
