The only way to confirm it is to disconnect the broil element and insulate the wires, then do some cooking. it will not heat up as quickly or as evenly, but should let you know for sure if it is the broil relay. on that model you can only replace the whole board so if disconnecting the broil allows it to work then you need a new board, if not I have had some units where the oven sensor had bad wire connections at the wiring harness and would only sometimes act up. When I see that I normally just cust out the harness plug and wire nut the oven probe in. (bad connection at the oven probe not at the control board). Be sure to use it long enough that there is no question before replacing board.

What does the code F1 mean on a frigidare electrolux 316233852?

The F1 code indicates a control failure. Try pressing a key to see if it displays on the screen. If not, the keypad may have shorted and requires replacement. If the keypad is fine, there is perhaps a problem with the internal checksum; disconnect the powericon1.png for 30 seconds and reconnect it. If the code remains, you must replace the electronic oven control (EOC). If the F1 code appears when the oven is running, it means that the oven senses an overheating condition. Use an external thermometer to check the temperature inside the oven. If it is accurate, it means that either the temperature sensor probe or the control relay has malfunctioned. Disconnect the power, and inspect the sensor probe, replacing it if necessary. If the oven is actually overheating, replace the EOC. If the oven is allowed to overheat, the resulting damage is possibly so extensive that the entire oven may require replacement.

Oven wont heat

Repairing the Oven Setting Control

When the oven setting control malfunctions, the oven won't heat. Here's how to repair an oven setting control:

Step 1: Remove the control knob.

Step 2:
Remove the back service panel or the front panel, if necessary. Remove other control knobs as needed to remove the panel. The oven setting control is located directly in back of the control knob and is usually held to the control panel by two screws.

Step 3: Testing the control with a volt-ohm-milliammeter (VOM) is not recommended, because the results will not always be conclusive. If you suspect that the setting control is faulty, the best procedure is to substitute a control that you know is working, or you could simply replace the faulty control with a new one made for the oven.

Step 4: Disconnect the electrical lead wires from the control terminal and lift out the control. Connect the new control the same way the old one was connected.

We have a Neff B1432 Single Oven. The interior light has gone and needs the bulb changing. The instruction leaflet says to - Unscrew the lamp cover by turning anti-clockwise. It does not move . Help !

they are often very stiff due to crud burning on. use mole grips and there is a risk you will break bulb cover but that is not the end of the world.
make sure you use a heat proof bulb as a replacement

Stove to hot burns everything

This is a simple fix as long as the oven is heating properly and the only problem is that the temp seems higher than what the temperature control knob indicates...

Purchase an inexpensive oven thermometer from the hardware store and place it in the center of the oven. Set the temperature control knob to 350 degrees F.

Check the temperature indicated on the thermometer in the oven after 20 minutes. If it's not within 5 degrees of 350, you'll need to adjust the oven's temperature control.

Turn the oven off.

Pull off the temperature control knob. You can usually pull it off by hand, pry it off with a thin screwdriver, or slide a piece of cord up behind it and pull.

Note which kind of temperature control knob you have. There are two types: The first has a screw in the shaft of the knob; the second has an adjustment dial on the back of the knob.

Adjust the temperature with the first type by turning the screw in the shaft with a screwdriver. Turn it clockwise to lower the temperature; turn it counterclockwise to raise the temperature. Turn the screw just a little bit in the appropriate direction.

Adjust the temperature with the second type of knob by turning the dial on the back of the knob. (This dial is held in place with a screw or a clip that will need to be removed.) Raise the temperature setting by turning the dial counterclockwise; lower it by turning the dial clockwise. The notches are typically in 5 or 10-degree increments.

Test the oven temperature again.

Repeat until you're in the right temperature range.

Good Luck!
