When installing Chrome and many other programs, they slip in additional programs and change your home page. You need to look VERY carefully at the screen when installing anything.
To change your home page, go into "control panel" from the Windows logo (lower left on screen) , then "Network and internet", then "internet options". You'll see where to change the homepage. Change, apply , and OK.
Open internet browser, if using IE, go to

In the box next to home page you should see http://ask.com
click in the box and change ask.com to something else such as google or yahoo or whatever you want your home page to be next time you open internet browser.

You mean that you wish to change the home page on your browser. Now is the browser internet explorer, firefox, opera, safari, chrome... etc etc. Secondly... the real issue is that you may be filled with trojans. I use spynomore to locate any trojans then i use the registry to manually remove any bad stuff. To remove anything from windows manually you have to unhide hidden files and system files. I do this kind of work for free using teamviewer all over the globe. Remove Ask Toolbar add-ons from Internet Explorer. Open Internet Explorer, then click on the gear icon (Tools for Windows XP users) at the top (far right) and then select Manage add-ons.
