http://www.lowrance.com/Downloads/Manuals/ try this site. Also nor being real familiar with these units since i have no use for a water unit, i am going to suggest that it may be the transducer or the cable linking it to your gps unit. That's the only idea i have and if it's right , would you let me know, or let me know either way, since information like this helps me learn what and where i went wrong. Thanks
1. Turn the LMS-330 off 2. Press and hold the ZIN, ZOUT, and PWR buttons 3. Release the three buttons once you see the "warning, do not rely..." message appear
If you get that far, the problem is solved. If you get boot failed again, try installing the latest update which can be downloaded from http://www.lowrance.com/en/Downloads/Product-Software-Updates/
If you still get boot failed, you will need to get the LMS-330 repaired/replaced. You can contact Lowrance support at 800-324-1356 or email them by going to http://www.lowrance.com/en/Support/Product-Support/Contact/
G'day I had a similar problem of the unit turning off when the engine was started. I simply replaced the battery as the one one boat was only registering about 11 amps. This unit requires amps to be over 12 to maintain the readings. This fixed my problem at least. If you are not getting a reading on the transducer you may need to make some slight adjustment on the transducer itself. Is it installed correctly? There is a manaul with pictures detailing the exact method of installing the transducer. It is very important you get this right. Good luck mate Noel
I think I can help with your issue. I have an LMS 334c and have had a few issues in the past. Called the factory (this answer is not listed any where in your manual) and they instructed me to "Soft Re Boot" my unit and it would put everything back to factory settings. Try this anytime it does not respond for whatever reason.
Turn the unit off.
At the same time press the Pages and Power button. Hold both down until you see the square box come up in the screen. You should have your factory settings again. May need to try a few times.
Lowrance said it works just like a computer, ever now and then it just tries to disect to much information at one time and hangs up.
Good luck. James Cantwell
