Used cartridge ink refills in this printer, and printing quality is terrible now. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I tried cleaning the printing heads but to no avail. I wonder if I replaced the cartridges with Epson's ink if I could once again get the quality printing that I originally had. Would appreciate any help I can get-Thanx...
-   Well, I have a Brother MFC-210C all-in-one printer. (six options printer/scanner/copier etc.) When I tried printing something out, some of the colors didn't come out, some of them bled, & the picture graphics from the net looked weird & blocky as I drew them out from it... I just replaced the cartridges, just a few hours ago, I tried claning them over & over again. I even tested it at least three times.
the tests were fine... Perfectly fine; all the colors showed nice & neat, but as I tried again printing my papers it was still the same... with that terrible "negatives" look which I can't take to my classes. Anyone else have this problem?
Anyone know the answer...
BTW I haven't used my printer since school ended in June... but it doesn't explain when I changed the cartridges with new ink it still gave me that terrible quality. & plus, the cartridges are in the right spot.
if it does please tell me what is going on with it! -(with the new ink cartridges)
All is not lost if it is not leaking. There are 2 ways to clean Epson printers. I think the cleaning carts are the way to go.

Unfortunately the quality of ink in a refill is not that of the OEM cartridge. My Epson started spitting ink all over the inside after switching back. Epson's response was, You used a none OEM cartridge so the warranty is void sorry.

Non-OEM ink cartridges CANNOT VOID WARRANTIES!!!! It is illegal. Therefore, Solution #2 cannot possibly be even slightly valid. If that is what Epson told you, then you got taken by someone who could get the company in trouble. I have had trouble with my Epson printer and it turned out that because I hadn't used it in almost a month and a half, the ink had dried in the print head and so now I have a new printer..... albeit, not another Epson.

hp g55 has white streaks running through solid colors. We've changed the cartridge and the "align cartridges" checks that everything is working properly but there are still streaks in solid colors.

I have a officejet G55 all in one printer. I cannot use the copier function. The display read " scanner failure. Turn the power off then on again" I do this several times, but it will not copy. The printer works fine. I have had the printer for over 8 years.

It started leaking black ink so I dismantled it to try to find the cause - unsuccessfully though. So I washed the panels I had removed then held the chassis under a warm kitchen tap. Eventually the water cleared and after a period of natural drying I reassembled the printer and powered it up. It works! Is there an overflow reservoir for the nozzle cleaning process in there or what? Michael G
