Laptop Processor Speed

You definitely have 512Mb of RAM. Ignore those who said otherwise. What happens is that the system will take that 512Mb and reserve 64Mb for you onboard video, which has no ram of it's own. 512-64 = 448. Any system with onboard video will do this.

448 is your free RAM. Your laptop has 512MB memory.

Your Processer Speed Can Vary, Such As My processer is a 1.6ghz, yet, it usally registers as 755, unless im playing a game or somthing. And you probably have 512MB of RAM, but your video card uses 64 of it.

The processor speed may be showing the slowest CPU speed during Speed Step, but I do not know for sure on this one?

I assume you have a Toshiba A75, if so I can only guess why you are selling it?

i have an acer aspire 3630 and i have just bought two modules of 256mb i thought it would go up to 512mb but it goes top 448mb i need some help plz

most computers dont rcognize total ram.As far as the processor go to control panel and dbl click system icon on the general tab it shows the processor which is probably the 1.8Ghz if it is a laptop ,,,you dont really find a 3.06 in laptops.

Right Click on "My Computer" (either on the desktop or in your Start Menu). The "General" tab of System Properties will tell you the processor manufacturer and speed, total RAM, version of Windows and Windows Service Pack you are using.

As stated before, your total memory is 512MB, with 64MB used as video RAM by your system since it uses onboard video.

I have an acer aspire 3003lc, i had same problem with ram, dont worry you have 512mb of ram, just the graphics memory is using the other 64mb, if you want more ram enter your bios on startup and change graphics memory to 32mb. it is officaly advertised as 512mb if buying from acer so advertise as 512, makes selling less complicated as no need for explanations ect.

I have found on various notebooks that the proceesor speed is showing alot slower than usual, from personal experience i can suggest the following and has worked on many different models.

GoTo Intel website and download the drivers or patch for you specific processor. If you have difficulty, forward me your processor specs and I will email the patch to you, hope I can help.

1. You have a 1.8GHZ, but it varys on speed, because it only uses it when it needs it, i have a 2.o, it generally stays at 755MHZ.
2. You really do have 512MB of ram, but 64 is being used by the video card.
