Question about Technics RS-TR373 Single Cassette Deck
I am sorry if this was posted in the wrong thread, but could not find the right thread. I have the RS DC10 digital compact tape deck. It plays, fastforward, and rewind, but no sound. The local repair shop said it needs a replacement head. I know that both Philips and Technics (Panasonic?) discontinued DCC way back when. But is there a place where I can still get a replacement head? Thanks
You should contact Panasonic, or Matsuchita. They can most likely give you their authorised parts dealer. You may find the head to be a little expensive.
You will have to have an experienced tech install the head for you. He will have to do a tape path alignment with the frequency response calibration.
